This movie tells the story of a boy struggling to accept his tragic past; Watching adult stories through children's eyes. Zula was forced to watch his father being slaughtered by members of his small village. The mother fled with the boy and eventually moved out, living in a run down apartment in Tbilisi, where a new life (hopefully) awaited. However, a new location cannot begin to erase the psychological trauma experienced by the boy, which affects every aspect of his relationship; Neighbors, his new teacher, classmates, and; Even his mother. His father's death on the shore of the lake (hence the name) distorted his strong personality in the direction of evil. His suppressed sadness is expressed in a dark way...
