Munim (secretary) of the Ranima family lives with his son Koshar and daughter Madavi. After his death, Ranima raised her two children and her only son Rajesh together. A few years later, Rajesh grew up and reached marriageable age. He met the beautiful Banu Sassena, and both of them fell in love with each other. Not long after, in a rowing accident, Kaushal passed away, leaving Madhavi in grief, Rajesh and Ranimaa feeling guilty for their own death. A few months later, Rajesh married Bhanu and lived with them. Banu doesn't like Madavi and hopes she won't get in the way. She even accuses her of having an affair with her husband. Under pressure, Madavi went to commit suicide and was rescued by a young man named Modi. Rajesh likes Modi and hopes he will marry Madavi, and he agrees with this. After marriage, Madavi bid farewell to Ranima and Rajesh and lived with Modi. What Madhavi didn't know was that Moti married her with a purpose and also had ulterior motives.
