Mathematics professor Hannah Fry is accustomed to investigating the world around her through numbers. When she was diagnosed with cancer at the age of 36, she began to question the way we diagnose and treat cancer, by mining statistical data to ask if we had made the right choices in how to treat this disease. Do we sometimes screen and treat cancer too quickly? Do doctors always honestly discuss this topic with us? Asking this question may seem dangerous, but do we have a risk of overtreatment for cancer? At the same time, Hannah recorded her own cancer journey in primitive and emotional personal shots, where the reality of life after cancer diagnosis was exposed.
