When taking the train to London, mathematician and writer Luke Williams met an old lady, Lavinia Fullerton. She will also go to London, to New Scotland Yard. Lavinia told Luke that several people in her small village had already died. The local police were convinced that everything was accidental and did not take any action, but Ravinia was not convinced. In London, Luke watched in horror as Lavigne was run over in a hit and run, and he was sure she was telling the truth. He arrived at the village and, with the help of a local girl, began to unravel the mystery. The girl is also convinced that these deaths are murder.
