有種深沉的感動，父親的憤世嫉俗和落魄，兒子的迷茫和消沉，生活的壓抑與自我認知的沖突。影片混雜了美國普通人民的生活現狀，善和惡的交織，值得人們去深思，在世界的角落里有這樣的一群人——流浪漢，需要著關懷卻無須憐憫；有這樣一群為之工作的人——可愛，善良，清醒。其實應該主要講述的還是父與子的故事，從父親說“You are me” 時雙方的精神崩潰，到Nike清醒并找到父親后雙方的相互認同后父親說“You are not me”時，覺得他們將會更好，努力的活著并找到了自己生活的意義的人值得所有人的認同和敬重。
最感動的還是，Nike給父親送去自己出版的詩集時，父親雖然表面平靜，卻在兒子走后，精心將詩集表框并驕傲的掛在墻上。那一刻所表現的父親對兒子的愛，與兒子對父親一百多封信件的保存所體現的愛相互映襯，并感染著我們這群旁觀者。
不管如何，活著，自我價值的尋找和實現；有可以愛的親人，足矣！
